Babel
A musical confusion of tongues with texts by Ivana Sokola
Theatre· World premiere
Talking to each other, understanding each other: it’s the lowest common denominator and yet a beguiling utopia. Multilingualism impacts all of our lives and enriches our views of the world. What would happen if we all spoke the same language? The world premiere of »Babel« entertainingly explores our communication in text and music, sounds and bodies – in several languages and with a diverse cast of voices from the company.
Jana Vetten was awarded the DER FAUST 2025 theatre prize for her Heidelberg production of »Nora«. She has been working closely with writer Ivana Sokola since their production of »Pirsch« during the Heidelberger Stückemarkt 2023.
