DE Season 2026/27

The Odyssey (XS)

by Felix Krakau/Homer
Theatre· World premiere

On his return journey from Troy, Greek hero Odysseus clashes with the God of the sea, encounters Cyclops and sirens and travels into the netherworld. A long time later, he finally arrives home, where his wife Penelope and son Telemachus are awaiting him. What connects the returnee with the person who had once set out? Is there still a place for him in an altered world?

»The Odyssey (XS)« narrates the tremendous ancient material in a reduced format: two actors bring what may be the greatest story in the world to life with humour, poignancy and some surprises. Their focus is not on the one who left but on those who were left behind. Using their memories, they weave a story that culminates in asking which stories we want to believe in.
